GoSTEAM Mobile Science Lab
The GoSTEAM Mobile Science Lab is the premier Black-owned, woman-owned, student-led STEM enrichment service in the Central Valley. Our engaging and culturally relevant approach provides authentic and immersive experiences that are enjoyable for students and families. Our dynamic and high quality mixed aged, hands-on programming is developed with more than ten years of experience in state of the art scientific research and education best practices ensuring students develop critical thinking and communication skills to meet 21st century global demands. Lab participants are guided by high school interns who are trained in high leverage best science teaching practices. Push in, assembly, and after school options available!
Jordan Henry Pickett Teaching Internship
The Jordan Henry Pickett (JHP) Internship answers the call to develop the next generation of highly skilled Black Educators. We equip students with the confidence, critical thinking, and communication skills to develop innovative solutions to critical issues facing 21st century science education. We harness the potential that lives in the communities we serve by building diverse and highly qualified science teacher candidate populations. Interns are immersed in networks, communities, and earning opportunities to broaden their perspective on what a career in science education can look like. Interns also receive 4 weeks of paid training and earning opportunities throughout the year.
Borderless Leadership Program
The Borderless Leadership Program leverages the power of travel to transform 7-12th grade student self belief, encourage global citizenship, and innovate within their own communities. This program uplifts the rich dance, artistic, cultural and historical experiences to inspire cultural celebration within our own communities while simultaneously promoting public transit. Leaders in this program enhance historically Black cultural events such as Black Family Day, Black History Month, and Juneteenth. We believe that channeling non-academic skills to produce positive outcomes for the community bolster student self-belief and confidence and impact academic performance in a positive way.
STEAM Fair Campus Wide Qualifier and Coaching
As an extension of the GoSTEAM Mobile Science lab, the STEAM Fair Campus Wide Qualifier and Coaching Program ensures 5th-12th grade students’ showcase and investigative science projects are relevant to 21st century global needs, innovative, and demonstrate student ability to critically communicate scientific principles as they relate to projects. We leverage students' interests and apply them to develop rigorous research questions that produce high-quality demonstrations of scientific concept, process, and skill mastery while also addressing 21st century needs. No simple skittle and water tricks here! We work with students to develop projects and host a fair at your school.

The STEAM Enrichment program is geared at facilitating an environment for students to take risks and explore their passion while engaging in the process of discovery through authentic experiences and scientific discourse. Our dynamic and high quality mixed aged, hands-on programming is developed with more than ten years of experience in state of the art scientific research and education best practices ensuring students develop critical thinking and communication skills to meet 21st century global demands. Lab participants will learn proper note-taking skills for a science lab, familiarize themselves with the scientific and engineering design processes, expand their vocabulary by engaging in scientific discourse with peers and explain phenomena using scientific concepts and vocabulary. (3-5th and 6-8th)
